AWS Integrations#

This section describes the Amazon Web Services (AWS) integrations with Posit Package Manager.

AWS S3#

Package Manager can utilize the Amazon Simple Cloud Storage Service (S3) as a storage provider. This integration requires AWS credentials and updates to the Package Manager configuration file. For information on integrating S3, refer to the AWS Simple Cloud Storage Service section.

Amazon EFS#

Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) can be used as a shared file system for Package Manager, but this integration has notable limitations. Please reference the Amazon EFS section for more information.

Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL#

Amazon Relational Database Services (RDS) for PostgreSQL can be used as a database backend for Package Manager.

Note

Many PostgreSQL service providers are compatible with Package Manager, including Aurora, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Google Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL, and more.
